Untitled document Warranty and RMA Policy COMPUTERCITY.COM.AU RETURN GUIDELINES All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number, which can be obtained by requesting the RMA thru "RMA Request" button in the top-right hand corner of our web page. Please save all packaging and accessories for any item that is returned to ComputerCity.com.au. All original equipment, components, manuals, cables, documents and packaging must be returned with your item in order for ComputerCity.com.au to process your RMA. An item returned for a replacement may be repaired or replaced at ComputerCity.com.au's discretion, unless otherwise required by law. Products with specific refund and return policies and deadlines must be returned within the time periods specified for each item. All items sold through ComputerCity.com.au are subject to our Terms and Conditions. Physically damaged items cannot be returned. Shipping and Handling Fees are not refundable, with the exception of orders incorrectly shipped by ComputerCity.com.au. GENERAL Return Policy - We follow our return policy strictly and do not make any exceptions. ComputerCity.com.au does not offer a money-back guarantee on any product. Shipping is non-refundable under all circumstances, an exception may be made if ComputerCity.com.au made an error in the entering the address or shipping method, but only for an adjustment.
- All returns are subject up to a 20% restocking fee based on the invoice price.
- All returns will be tested. Return for replacement found to be non-defective will result in a handling fee of $10.
- Customers agree to report lost or damaged shipping claims to ComputerCity.com.au within 48 hours of receiving the shipment. Failure to do so results in the forfeiture of any possible remedy from ComputerCity.com.au.
- There are NO STORE RETURNS for retail boxed CRTs and LCDs for repair or refund. Customers agree that these items can only be returned to manufacturers for replacement/repair except in cases of shipping wrong item or clear shipping damage. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- In general, the period for credit and replacement of allowable items are 30 days except as noted.
- Past the 1 year, contact the manufacturer for warranty replacement/repair. For items that manufacturer will not warranty directly, there will be a $15 handling fee to cover the shipping and handling. Please provide a check or credit card information with the returned package along with a letter request the service. Repairs can take anywhere from a fene ne w weeks to 2 month. Please make arrangement accordingly.
- ComputerCity.com.au does not offer advanced replacement.
- Customers must pay for return shipping on all returns, including DOA product. An exception may be made if ComputerCity.com.au made an error in the entering the address or shipping method, but only for an adjustment.
Hardware and Software We will accept returns for credit or exchange within 30 days of the shipment date. You can see what day is shipped by checking your account information. Software: Software is non-returnable once you have opened the package, if it has a defective CD, we will replace it with the same exact title only. we do not guarantee that you will like the software you purchase or that it is compatible with your system, so please contact the publisher if you have questions before you buy. Hardware: If you have received an item and you think it is defective, please contact the manufacture technical support department at the manufacturer before requesting RMA number thru our online RMA Request . We do not guarantee against incompatibility since we do not know your system configuration so please check with the manufacturer to find out if the product you want will work with your system. You also need to make sure you have the appropriate bus/slot/port for the item you are purchasing. If we receive an item that is tested to be non-defective, we will return the same item back to the customer after the $15 handling fee is paid. Processors and Memory Modules: This is our Detailed Processor (CPU) and Memory Modules Return Policy. Physically damaged CPUs and Memory Modules cannot be returned to ComputerCity.com.au. Improper installation of CPU fans and/or improper clocking may cause CPUs to chip. CPUs that are chipped, burnt or have bent/broken pins are considered physically damaged and cannot be returned for refund or replacement. Physical damage includes (but is not limited to) improper handling and any other type of damage sustained by irregular use. ComputerCity.com.au encounters bent pins regularly when inspecting physically damaged CPUs. Forcing a processor into position will not solve an installation problem and may void your ComputerCity.com.au return policy. Buyers requesting a refund may have to pay up to 20% restocking fee. ComputerCity.com.au will not cross-ship replacement CPUs. Desktop PC, Notebook, and Tablet PC Return Policy: * Return for refund: non-refundable * Return for replacement within: 30 days (defective items only) This is our Detailed Desktop PC, Notebook and Tablet PC Return Policy. Under this policy all Desktop PCs/Notebooks/Tablet PCs are non-refundable, and this supersedes all other return policies. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy. Any Desktop PCs/Notebook/Tablet PC that is deemed defective may be returned for a replacement within 30 days only, but a request for refund will not be granted. If a Desktop PC/Notebook/Tablet PC is returned for a replacement, but no problems are found, the Desktop PC/Notebook/Tablet PC will be returned at your (the buyer's) expense. You should be certain in your decision to purchase a Desktop PC/Notebook/Tablet PC and must agree to this policy before completing your order. By confirming your order, you indicate your agreement to this policy. Printers: Printers, whether working or defective, are non-returnable/non-exchangeable once the cartridges are opened and/or installed. We only sell full retail versions of printers that can be returned directly to the manufacturer for warranty service. Return Procedures No returns will be accepted without a return authorization number (RMA number). To request for one, please log into your account and click on the RMA Request button for the order you would like to return. No RMA number will be given over the phone or email. All returns must be received within the 14 days of RMA approval date. Your RMA# for CREDIT is valid until the 14 days return period is up, and your RMA# for exchange/repair is also valid for 14 days. Make sure the RMA number appears clearly on the shipping label of the return shipment, and include a copy of your original invoice as well as a brief statement of the problem or instructions as to whether it is a credit return or exchange. You can check your RMA Status online by logging into your account. Out-of-Stock (Back-Order) Sometimes items are returned to ComputerCity.com.au after the product has been discontinued. If ComputerCity.com.au no longer carries an item that is sent in for replacement, or if that item is simply out of stock, the item will be sent to our Back-Order RMA Department. You will be notified via email with two options: either ComputerCity.com.au can send you a comparable replacement item, or a refund of the current market value of the product will be issued. A current-market-value refund may not exceed the original invoice price. If the item is returned within 30 days of the original invoice date, a full refund will be issued not including Shipping and Handling Fees .
